Fall Underwater Shoot Day
September 27th, 4-7pm
Let's do something crazy
A multi-set underwater shoot
I am renting out the Oak Harbor pool and setting up some sets in the deep end for a unique shoot oportunity!
The Sets

Underwater Garden
(photo for illustrative purposes only)
The first set I am building is an underwater garden set. It will have hanging vines suspended in the water, flowers, grass floor, etc etc. This set should allow plenty of layers for either movement through the set, or to create depth as you float. There also might be a possibility to have a version of this set in the shallow end too.
Captain's Cabin
(photo for illustrative purposes only)
Have you always wanted a picture in a sunken ship? This set will recreate a part of a sunken ship at the bottom of the pool. It should allow for some magical or mysterious moments in the water.
How does this work?
First, if you are interested in the shoot, fill out this form. This is just so I can start seeing who all's interesting and what the flow of the shoot would be.
Then I'll start putting things together. The date will be finalized by the end of July, which is when payment will be due. This way I can book the pool and start building props!
On shoot day, there is some flexibility in how the shoot works. But on average, each person should get 10-15 minutes in the water (if a couple people are wanting to work together, they can stack their time). How we use that time is up to you! We can just hang out in one set, or we can go back and forth. I also want to know your vision for your time so that I can make minor adjustments to make sure it fits with your ideas.
Afterwards, we will all go our separate ways and I will start editing all the things! Given the scale of the project, I'm estimating needing between four to six weeks to get everything edited.

Some of my previous underwater work
About me
I've been working with a camera, either doing video or photography, for the past 16 years. And have been doing various forms of underwater photography for the last 4 years.
With all my work, my goal is to empower my models to just be their gorgeous selves. I adjust my style and posing plans frequently to make sure that the people I'm working with look like themselves, and not someone forced into a pose that I wanted.
When I'm approaching any shoot near the water, my number one priority is safety. As such, for this shoot there will be a robust safety plan in place to ensure that no matter what, everyone stays safe through the shoot.
FAQ
Can me and a friend do the shoot together?
Absolutely! And if you and someone else decide to work together, you can stack your time for a longer shoot!
How far in advance should we book?
The sooner you let me know the sooner we can get things locked in. There is a minimum number of people that need to sign up in order for this to work.
What if I want underwater photos, but am not a confident swimmer?
That's why I'm considering the shallow set. We can still get beautiful pictures in the shallows. If enough people would like this option I should be able to work with the pool to make it happen.
Where is the shoot happening again?
Oak Harbor Washington!
